Call-out for Protein’s The Sun Inside dance film!
Join artistic director Luca Silvestrini, filmmaker Roswitha Chesher and composer Andy Pink in the making of a new dance film.
Focusing on the importance of sunlight, we are looking for contributors from all levels of experience to film their ‘sun inside’ ideas to help create a beautiful and meaningful dance film that captures this unique moment in time.
Contributors will respond to creative tasks whilst receiving technical support throughout. This is an opportunity to engage the artist inside you, and learn and create together.
‘While adapting to a new life, we have been searching for and following the sun inside our homes; through windows and doors, in our gardens, front door steps and balconies, rays of sunlight have been framing spots of comfort and reflection, creating shadows and other intricate designs.’

The Sun Inside is part of our Protein 21 Reimagine programme, re-imagining the original film made by Protein and Roswitha Chesher in 2008 during a residency at Evelina Children’s Hospital.
This project is suitable for people of all ages and abilities. No previous dance or camera experience is necessary. Contributors will need a camera or camera phone and a willingness to collaborate and share their creativity.
