Watch Border Tales online at The Place on 7 May, one of the three works that 15 groups nationwide have reimagined to celebrate Protein 21st anniversary.

Protein 21

Protein 21 marks the company’s 21st birthday in 2020 with a three-part thematic programme: Remix, Reflect and Reimagine.

Remix Series launches with the broadcast of our smash-hit commentary on multicultural Britain seen through the eyes of an international cast: Border Tales.

Reflect zones in on people who have been associated with the company since the start. In the filmed interviews, they will recall how Protein has impacted their lives and how the company has been shaped by those involved.

Reimagine has groups of all ages creating new dance works in response to Protein’s repertoire.
