Protein believes that dance is for everyone and offers a range of opportunities for all to participate in.
“I follow a creative process that enables those around me to develop their own artistic voice and that empowers them to express and understand their thoughts and feelings. These are professional artists, community participants, vulnerable young people, care homes residents, refugees and asylum seekers. My practice has been shaped by the diversity of the people I’ve engaged with and it’s what supports my ongoing interest in making work that challenges what dance can be and do to others”
